Review- Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

Title: Hallowed (Unearthly #2)
Author: Cynthia Hand
Publisher: Harper Collins
Date published: 17/01/2012
Genre: Young Adult

For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought.
Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

I was really looking forward to the release of Hallowed, i enjoyed reading Unearthly and the sequel did not dissapoint in fact it was even better.
Hallowed starts of with a dream where Clara is at a funeral with Christian by her side, this dream suggests someone close to her will die in a matter of months.

I loved to see the mother-daughter relationship between Clara and her mom, she is one cool Mom!

Hallowed explored more of Clara's main purpose and it was exciting to learn more about the part-angels and black angels.
The love triangle in this book is great I have always been Team Christian so it was a releif reading this book, beacuse there is plenty of him in this book, you really get to see a great side of him. He is a great freind to Clara. Tucker is lovable and supports Clara as a good boyfriend should.
I wont say who she chooses because I am not sure that it is her final choice yet, guess we would have to wait for book 3.
This book is a very emotional journey for Clara, but i think she handles the ups and down very well, she is a strong heroine with a clear voice. Cynthia Hand writes in beautiful prose and has done a great job with Hallowed, one of the best paranormal romances I have read. a bitter-sweet story with amazing characters I would recommend everyone to pick up this book. Honestly cannot wait for book 3.
